Brian began teaching guitar in 1983 at Encore Music in Mankato. He is a graduate of Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, California. He studied music at MSU, Mankato. Brian has a bachelors degree from MSU, Mankato and a Master’s Degree in Music Technology from Indiana University. He has played in many cover bands and traveled across the country playing music full time. He teaches all styles of electric and acoustic guitar, as well as electric bass guitar and ukulele. His students have been as young as 7 and as old as 80. Lessons will be fun and engaging. The lesson room will be safe, organized, and comfortable. A step-by-step, one week at a time approach is used for the lessons. Lessons will incorporate a series of established method books that the student will use each week. Both the student and parents of students can keep track of the progression through beginning, intermediate, and advanced curriculum. One of Brian’s primary goals is to inspire the student to want to continue playing their instrument throughout their lifetime.
